Newfort House is an original granite Scillonian Cottage, offering a 2 bedroom self catering apartment set on the bay of Hugh Town in Porthloo on St Mary’s the main Island. The rental is only available from April through to October season when the Scillonian ISSC Ferry runs to the Islands.
ABOUT THE HOUSE
Newfort House has it’s own entrance, lounge with wood burning stove and fully equipped modern kitchen with full facilities.
Leading from the kitchen back doors step onto your own, south aspect, private outside deck, featuring two sun loungers and a table for up to six people for summer dining.
We are Dog Friendly for one well behaved small to medium size Dog.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate children under 5 years of age.
We are a short 5 minute walk into the centre of Hugh Town and set next to two quiet beaches, with easy access to a number of art galleries, cafes, a sailing school and coastal walks.
The whole of this beautiful archipelago is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a wealth of archaeological interest under the supervision of English Heritage. The Isles of Scilly provide an ideal holiday setting, free from the bustle of modern life. Unspoilt quiet beaches, tropical plants, magnificent views, historic buildings and a slower pace of life captivate all visitors who return year after year.
Newfort House is on St Mary’s, the largest of the Isles of Scilly. A perfect base for exploring the unrivalled natural beauty of the islands.
